More About Me

I first found acting at the age of 13, when I was already finding myself tired of getting hit as a middle school running back in the small town of Magnolia in East Texas. The only open class to replace football was theater, and after the teacher begged me to be a part of their fall show at the Renaissance Faire, I was hooked. Acting, Theater and Film was exactly what I needed and it came at the time I needed it most. I thank God for bringing it into my life every day. The immense cathartic expression that the arts can provide along with the incredible people you meet along the way quite literally saved my life.
Being a kid from an unconventional and challenging childhood to say least, I realized pretty quickly that the experiences that left me feeling alienated and different were more common than I realized. Although I might have dealt with constant moving and witnessing people deal with their demons, my exposure to a wide range of personalities and environments simply gave me a broader perspective on people and life that I could use to my advantage! Furthermore I would soon meet people who related to and understood me in a way I couldn't imagine.
Probably realizing that I needed some guidance, my incredible high school director Rod Sheffield took me under his wing so-to-speak and gave me direction, purpose, and humbled me when necessary. Together, along with a great company of actors, we did a dozen successful shows. He would also help me get into theater camps around Texas and eventually NYU on a half ride which I never would have dreamed possible. I may have had to support myself at a ridiculously expensive school, but that didn't matter to me one bit. I wanted to be involved in this world no matter what it took. While at NYU I would attend the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute for 3 years and eventually Stonestreet Studios where I would hone my on-camera technique
Unfortunately, COVID took quite the toll on me and my family and I had to put my career on the backburner for the most part after college, just to make sure I had my feet underneath me and my head on straight before getting back up on the horse. I didn't want to half-ass this journey, If I'm going to do it, I'm going to put my all in it and go for broke. The past couple years gave me a lot of time to experience life and figure out what I want from it. I have come to the definitive conclusion that I need to act and be a part of the arts. Something has been missing, and Theater and Film along with the people involved in it saved my life. It is only right that I give back to those that gave so much to me.
